For a proper scientific review of the Dyson Hot go to this post.

When Dyson first released the Dyson Hot, I searched all over the internet for a decent Dyson Hot Review, but found none. Therefore I would like to share a few thoughts about this product if you are considering purchasing it.
Don’t let the size fool you.
Despite being only 58cm tall, this device still manages to warm my entire living room relatively quickly. It’s controls are very intuitive and the controller is easy to use. The Dyson Hot itself hardly heats up making it easy to just grab and move to another room should you need to.
So is there a down side?
Not major downsides at all. The price is quite steep and I was really worried I was paying to much for a heater. After seeing it’s results I am no longer of that opinion. At the highest air speed level it is not exactly quiet, but this can be counteracted by turning down the air speed.
I do not work for Dyson or anything like that. Normally I don’t write reviews either. However, since I now own a Dyson hot and I was at the time not able to find any reviews on it, I thought it best I wrote this one.

Would you be willing to attempt some kind of objective test of the Dyson Hot?
Something like placing the Hot and a thermometer at opposite ends of a closed room and seeing how long it takes to raise the temperature 10 degrees?
Ideally, you would have a typical space heater to compare against. In a perfect world you could also use a Kill-A-Watt or similar to see how much power each draws to meet the goal.
Barring that, I’d love to hear details as to how exactly this device sets itself apart from the many alternatives.
Personally, I’m intrigued by the Hot, but I find is hard to believe that anything about the device could justify a price 5-20x that of a basic space heater/fan. I say this as the 100% satisfied owner of a Dyson vacuum (which only cost me 2-4x as much as a typical vacuum).
I’m not opposed to paying a huge premium for a smartly designed, effective product, but in the case of the Dyson Hot there isn’t much evidence of the former and zero evidence of the latter.
Thanks, hope to see an update.
The review is done. If you can not find it simply search Dyson Hot in the search field.
Hi objectivium.
I am doing a scientific test of the Dyson Hot as we speak. Thanks for the great idea! I hope to post the results by the end of the weekend. Cheers.
I have finished the tests with the conventional heater. Now I have to wait for temperatures outside to go below 15 C. So I can put the Dyson Hot to the test.
I recommend insulated walls and triple-glass windows instead
